Americorps VISTA – This position will serve with YWCA Missoula for one year beginning on July 17th, 2023. VISTAs are members of AmeriCorps, the National Federal Agency for service that brings people together to tackle the country’s most pressing challenges. In this role, you will work to strengthen programs and resources provided to low-income homeless families and survivors of domestic violence by strengthening partnerships with community organizations, increasing outreach and public awareness, and building internal capacity to better serve the needs of program participants. Americorps Summer Member (2 positions available) – This position will serve with YWCA Missoula from June 5th- August 31st, 2023. You will serve in our Youth Services to teach, lead, and mentor children/ teens in educational activities, outdoor leadership, and social-emotional skill development. Americorps members will support GUTS! Summer Outdoor Adventure programming, by planning, implementing, and evaluating youth leadership training for girls and gender-diverse youth aged 9-15. When not supporting GUTS! Summer Outdoor Adventures, Americorps members will develop and facilitate educational, creative, and trauma-informed programming with unhoused youth of varying ages. VISTAs will also collaborate with community partners to expand summer activities, including biking, watershed education, botany and nutrition, and knowledge of technology.
