We’re excited to announce our new racial equity workshops, designed to help businesses, nonprofits, healthcare providers, and other organizations build stronger, more inclusive cultures. These workshops provide practical tools and strategies to create positive change—both within teams and in the broader community.
Why Racial Equity Matters in the Workplace
Inclusivity isn’t just a buzzword—it’s the foundation for innovation, productivity, and collaboration. When organizations address systemic inequities, they create spaces where all employees can thrive. Our workshops aim to help teams:
- Expand their understanding of how racism operates within systems and institutions.
- Reflect on individual and collective roles in fostering equity.
- Build communication and cultural competency skills.
- Apply actionable strategies to create lasting change.
Workshop Topics
Led by experienced facilitator and Director of Racial Justice & Equity, Chris Young-Greer, our workshops are designed to meet the diverse needs of organizations at different stages of their equity journeys. Each session is 2 to 2.5 hours long and provides opportunities for deep learning and personal reflection.
- Understanding, Unlearning, and Healing from Racism
This entry-level workshop introduces shared language and examines how racism impacts individuals and communities across diverse backgrounds. It’s a great starting point for organizations beginning their equity journey. - Confronting Micro/Macroaggressions in the Workplace
Learn how micro- and macroaggressions undermine workplace culture and productivity, and gain tools to effectively identify and address these behaviors. - How Does Trauma-Informed Care and DEI Intersect?
Explore the intersection of trauma-informed care (TIC) and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Learn why trust challenges often arise in care provider-client relationships and develop strategies for building stronger, more inclusive connections. - Healthcare Providers and the Importance of Cultural Competency
This workshop focuses on creating a shared understanding of culture, mindfulness, and inclusion in healthcare. Participants will examine how biases and stereotypes affect patient care and learn strategies to address these barriers. - The Need for Diversity in Conservation
Explore the lack of representation in conservation efforts and the impact it has on national parks and natural spaces. Participants will analyze hiring practices and develop strategies to build inclusivity within the field.
